Workshop Series

Mini-Musicals is a highly collaborative process of creating, rehearsing, and performing an entirely original musical in a compact yet complete package. Participants will choose and adapt an existing Broadway show tune and, through improvisation, create a staged scene that places the show tune in the context of their choice, using dance, dialogue, characters, simple costumes and sets. Individuals in the group become the writers, technicians, and actors in their own musical creation, and perform their work at the end of the sessions. Skills gained include character development, production techniques, staging skills, along with performance finesse.
